Cybercrime is therefore more profitable than the global illegal drug trade, and by the time you have finished reading this post, a new hacker attack will have occurred. There is only a 39-second gap between each attack.
It’s impossible to know who will be affected or when they will realize they’ve been targeted. On average, it takes 7 to 12 months before 68% of all hacker attacks are discovered.
In other words, cybercrime is a bigger problem than ever before, making IT security and monitoring more important than ever. Yet, only 25% of all companies have a formal response plan for cyberattacks.
Why is that? It’s unclear. However, most people are taken aback when they learn that a hacker can infiltrate a computer network faster than you can drink your morning coffee.
